Mary Cooley Craddock Sold at Auction Prices

Biography: Mary Cooley Craddock was born in Baltimore, MD and grew up in Houston, TX. She received a B.A. from the University of Texas, Austin, 1972 and a M.A. in Medical and Biological Illustration from The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, 1974. She worked as a medical illustrator for many years and created drawings for medical publications and lectures. She has six children and is married to Dr. John Craddock, Jr.

Around 1990, Mary began fine art painting of figures, still life, and landscapes in oil and watercolor. Her work displays a loose, but realistic style with a good drawing basis and impressionistic color. Her paintings have been sold to many collectors and currently are available directly from the artist. “Action portraits” are her latest commissioned works and she continues to explore animal, landscape, still life and figures in her subject matter. She welcomes all projects.
