Condition: The lithograph in colors is in a very good condition. The lower right border bears a slight discoloration. The image dimensions measure 89.3 x 63.1 cm, while the sheet size is 100.6 x 75.2 cm. Luigi Coppa (b. 1934) The Italian was born in 1934 in Forio on the island of Ischia and already became famous when he was younger. Thus he completed his studies in painting at the Instituto d’Arte in Naples at the age of 20 with the first prize. Between 1955 and 1957 he travelled to many cities in Europe and also visited Africa (including Uganda and Kenya). There he found his main theme and inspiration and thus Coppa often revisited these places. Numerous works featuring Africa originated, especially in the periods 1957-1970 and 1976 to 1997. But his oeuvre also includes other motives, such as portraits and landscapes. The works have been on display at a number of single and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, such as in 1979 in Worpswede, Germany, or in 1996 in Palermo.       Nomadi Aquarell auf Fabriano-Bütten. 1970. 76,8 x 56,5 cm. Unten links mit Stift in Schwarz signiert und datiert, verso erneut signiert und datiert. Lugi Coppa wurde in der Künstlerkolonie Forio auf Ischia geboren. Er war Schüler von Eduard Bargheer und wurde vor allem durch seine Darstellungen von Beduinen aus dem Maghreb und Schwarzafrika bekannt. Auf seinen zahlreichen Reisen durch Afrika sammelte er Inspirationen für seine Bilder.
