Departing from the academic lesson, he dedicated himself to the landscape with city and rural views inspired by a minute naturalism derived from Palizzian modules. In 1873 he made his debut by sending Contorni di Pesto to the Milanese exhibition of Brera and to the Promotrice of Naples Alle paludi, the artist then continued his rich exhibition activity by participating in the Neapolitan exhibitions (1880, Casa colonica-Sarno, Naples, Provincial Administration), in those of Genoa (1875-1886), Turin (1878-1898) and Milan (1873-1884). In 1883 he exhibited Burrone Sant'Arcangelo a Cava in Rome and in 1887 he presented Mareggiata and two memories of his trip to Germany in Venice: Lubech and Foresta in Germania. At the beginning of the new century he moved to Argentina where he worked as a builder, practicing painting more and more for pleasure.
