It was cast in the traditional technique of the lost form by the German foundry Strassacker. The sculpture depicts a young woman, emerging from a rose bush, as an allegory of spring. Works by the Italian sculptor can be admired all over the world from New York to Buenos Aires, to Paris and London. The bronze is signed ‘Costi’ on top of the plinth as well as numbered ‘97/99’ and ‘87017’ and bearing the foundry mark at the edge of the plinth.
