        LARGE & IMPORTANT FRENCH ENAMEL PLAQUE CIRCA 1900. Comprising a finely painted Limoges enamel plaque depicting a beautiful young woman daydreaming in a landscape after the painting La Reverie by French artist Edme Couty (1852-1931) who was head of the decorating workshop at Sevres from 1908-1918. The plaque bordered in gilt frame of scrolling florals and set into its original velvet covered frame with pierced floral Limoges enameled corners and verso with fold out strut stand. The plaque monogramed lower right and further signed Guerin. Overall 16 inches x 14.75 inches (40.5cm x 37.5cm) Stunning!
