Mr. Conrad Fried was the brother of Elaine de Kooning and the executor of her estate, controlling her work after her death. The entire estate was stored at Mr. Fried's residence in Fosterdale, New York. The consignor was contacted by a broker to sell the art work from the Elaine de Kooning estate.
