      Dora Crockett,  British 1888-1953 -  Two women and child, 1948;  oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right 'Crockett 48', 61.2 x 30.8 cm Note:  Crockett was known for her portrait and still life composition, and exhibited widely in the UK and France, at important venues such as the Groupil Gallery in 1930 and at the Royal Academy and Paris Salon. This late work shows a greater intensity and more abstract style than her classical early work, yet retains the same approach to the statuesque figures. has a work in the collection of the Northampton Museums & Art Gallery.

She was taught by Henry Tonks and exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute of Painters in Oil, as well as in the Paris Salon and other venues. Crockett was known for painting flowers, landscapes and especially portraits.

In the 1930s, 72 Ladbroke Road, London, W11, was the home of Count Eric Lewenhaupt and his wife Dora Crockett. Dora was a painter, and she had a studio in Lansdowne House. She was taught by Henry Tonks. She is buried in Harting churchyard, West Sussex.
