    Frederick CRUIKSHANK (Aberdeen, 1800-1868) Femme en robe bleue à manches ballon, collier et boucles d'oreilles en corail, sur fond de rideau ouvert sur un paysage, 1823 Miniature sur deux plaques d'ivoire contrecollées sur carton. Signée et datée au milieu à droite : F.C / 1823 Manuscrit et date au dos : painted by / F. Cruichshank / 1823 + 31 Rectangulaire, 10,5 x 7,6 cm Bordure rectangulaire en laiton doré, 11,5 x 8,5 cm Bon état (joint d'artiste visible en bas entre les deux plaques). Cruikshank fut élève d'Andrew Robertson qui influença son style, et compte parmi les bons miniaturistes d'origine écossaise. Il exposa à la Royal Academy et la Society of British Artists de 1822 à 1860 et est représenté dans les collections du Victoria & Albert Museum à Londres.
