The letter t in the sentence ‘Money can’t buy it!’ is erased with Tippex. Above this sentence an image of a 100 dollar note with a happy family in the centre is shown. The work is part of the series ‘Vision’, a series of self-portraits by the artist. The works by the Vietnamese artist are provocative and casual at the same time. Influences of Jean-Michel Basquiat are well visible, to which Cong Cu adds the surreal expressionist elements of his own formal language.
