      Est: €2,400 - €3,120

Acrylic on paper Shenyang, China, 2007 Cui Guotai (b. 1964) – Chinese artist Signed and dated lower left ’cuiguoTai 2007’ and inscribed with two Chinese characters Verso with blue label ‘Remnant Bridge NR. 4 LG5408’ Image size: 99 x 89 cm dimensions, framed: 119 x 100 cm Very good condition Object is regular taxed. 19% VAT is added to the purchase price for deliveries within the EU. This artpiece of the Chinese painter Cui Guotai presents with expressive brushstrokes and almost monochromatic range of colors a bridge, which is presumably a remnant of the industrial area in Shenyang, an important industrial city in Northeast of China and also the birthplace of Guotai. The paper is signed and dated lower left with ’cuiguoTai 2007’ and inscribed with two Chinese characters. Verso a sticker can be seen with the title ’Remnant Bridge’ and the number ’NR. 4 LG5408’. This sheet is in a very good condition with minimal signs of use. The paper is slightly rippled at the frame. The image size is 99 x 89 cm and the overall dimensions are 119 x 100 cm. Cui Guotai (b. 1964) Cui Guotai was born and raised in Shenyang. The city in Northeast China was a center of the steel industry from 1930 to 1990. Guotai followed the downfall of the industrial area of the so-called Tiexi district. Due the bird’s eye perspective and because of the use of colorful accents he shows the forgotten appreciation for building facades, aircrafts, bridges, chimneys and power poles. Cui Guotai studied at the Art University in Changchun and graduated at the Academy of Art in Bejjing. (asi) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
