      GEORGE CUITT THE YOUNGER (British, 1779-1854) "St. Mary's Abbey, York" 1834 - Etching on chine colle paper. Signed and dated in plate lower left, titled lower centre. Unframed. Image is 13.75 x 10.5 inches (34.8 cm x 26.5 cm), sheet is 19.25 x 12.5 inches (49 cm x 32 cm). Excellent condition, lightly tipped onto backing. Includes a copy of 1977 receipt from Craddock and Barnard (London UK) stating that "The above are original artists etchings' over 100 years old". From the Gary Robertson Historical Print Collection (Regina). This piece is also in the permanent collection of the Yorkshire Museum, The Fitzwilliam Museum (Cambridge) and the British Museum (London).
