Sculpture has been Martin Cundell’s principal occupation since 1982. He has exhibited in numerous galleries and gardens in London, the South East and Nottinghamshire including several major solo or shared exhibitions.

Commissions have included ‘The Waiting Room‘ at the Royal Surrey County Hospital (sponsored by Crest Nicholson), a children’s sculpture for Osterley Park (Isleworth) and ‘Second Station of the Cross‘ at Wintershall (Bramley, Surrey) as well as private commissions based on established themes. His work is included in numerous private, business and institutional collections in the UK as well as the USA, France, Sweden, Japan and Poland.

Martin works primarily in wood (carved and/or constructed) frequently combined with stone, steel, cables etc. His subject matter is broadly abstract but frequently relates to the human form, particularly dancers. He is also an abstract painter.
