A vintage illustrated map of California by Andy Dagosta, dating to 1969, featuring ghost towns, lost mines, old mines, missions, military forts, historic western routes, topography, towns, and cities. A fan of cowboys and the Wild West, Dagosta loved watching his heroes - Gene Autry, Buck Jones, Hoot Gibson, Bob Steel, and Randolph Scott - in western movies. This map marries his love for the Wild West with his talent and skill as an artist and illustrator. Size of map: 22.5" L x 17.5" W (57.2 cm x 44.4 cm) Size of frame: 24.5" L x 19" W (62.2 cm x 48.3 cm) "Drawings by Andy Dagosta" and "Cooper Enterprises, 5020 N. 70th St., Scottsdale, Arizona 85251" printed on lower right. American artist Andy Dagosta was best known for his western paintings and illustrations. As a child growing up in Omaha, Nebraska, he adored watching movies, particularly westerns.
