Her artistic journey revolves around investigating the contemporary human connection with nature and the significance of rites of passage. In each of Dean's photographic creations, her subjects engage intimately with their natural surroundings, resulting in artworks that silently beckon viewers to reflect. Her unique grasp of light and landscape yields sensual compositions, inviting profound contemplation. Tamara Dean was the recipient of the Sydney Life photography competition for her photograph 'The Bride' in 2009. 'The Bride' was taken on a windy afternoon, and features her niece being lead by her partner.
