        Oil on canvas, 3 parts China, 2012 Diao Qingchun (born 1972), Chinese painter At the back signed and dated in calligraphy writing Overall dimensions 53 x 53 cm Very good condition These beautiful oil paintings by the contemporary Chinese painter Diao Qingchun are from the series "Shanshui" - landscapes These are three nature studies. The colours of the three paintings alter from the painting on the left, which is almost entirely held in blue, towards warmer and lighter tones. Also the abstractness of the forms develop in this order. Diao is famous for his multi-part lotus and landscape paintings. His paintings style is pastose, dynamic and he applies the paint in several layers. In 1922 Diao Qingchun finished his education as an oil painter at the pedagogical college in Baotou (Inner Mongolia) which was followed by further studies at the Academy in Sichuan. After that, Diao took part in international art projects in France, Italy and Switzerland. In 2012/2013, some of the artist's works were exhibited in context of a touring exhibition in many Chinese cities such as Beijing and Nanjing. The three oil paintings are in very good condition. The slender white frames show some minor traces of use and caulking. The framing paper is inscribe on verso with the artist's signature in calligraphy writing "Diao Qingchun" and with the date "2012, 9, 18". The overall dimensions with frame are 53 x 53 cm, without frame 50 x 50 cm. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance. It shows very abstracted lotus flowers. Some of the flower heads peak out in clear white from the sea of flowers, which is rendered in dark blue. The overall composition is very vivid and dynamic.
