REINHARD HEYDRICH AND SEPP DIETRICH ENROLL SIEGFRIED TAUBERT IN THE SS

    Est: $1,500 - $2,500

Important, fine content partly-printed D.S., 2pp. 14 x 11.5 in., Berlin, Nov. 2, 1935, an SS-Stammrolle, or muster roll issued concerning SIEGFRIED TAUBERT who would become General of the Waffen-SS and head of the SS-Schule at Wewelsburg. Taubert's previous military, party, and SS experience is described, along with other biographical details, and he is brought in with the rank of SS-Fuhrer. At bottom, the document is signed by SEPP DIETRICH (1892-1966). On the verso, the document is further signed by REINHARD HEYDRICH (1904-1942) three years later, on Mar. 11, 1938. Heydrich indicates that Taubert's behavior has been "excellent" and no punitive action had been taken against him. Reinforced file holes at left margin, else very good. SIEGFRIED TAUBERT (1880-1946), SS number 23.128, served as an SS leader under Kurt Daluege. From 1935-38 he was chief of staff in the SD Main under Heydrich, and was promoted to SS-Brigadefuhrer on Sep. 13, 1936. From 1938-45 he served as the second and last commander at Wewelsburg, as well as a judge in Roland Freisler's notorious court.
