    Diller, August. Born in Danzig, active. In Berlin the first half of the 19th century street scene in Berlin (A local Posse). 1840. Oil on canvas, li. u. sign. and dat. 60.5 x 76 cm. Beautiful contemporary context. The delicious Genre painting is interesting addition to its artistic quality as a city historical document of the times, there are a topographically accurate view of the city of Berlin, together with its inhabitants in the pre-March-time. The event taking place end is probably decipher barely - apparently there is a dispute between craftsmen of different trades. These lots are onlookers passers from different walks of life.
