    2 bookplates by Jaroslav Dobrovolsky. One is for himself and is signed in pencil. The other is for Mila Miskarova and is also signed in pencil. Jaroslav Dobrovolsky (1895 - 1942) was a Czech artist and graphic designer as well as an artist in the media of linocuts, etchings and woodcuts. He was the most famous pre war Czech Bookplate designed. During the war he joined the Czech anti nazi resistance . He was imprisoned in 1940 and held in the Mauthausen Concentration Camp until his death in 1942
