David Dodge Art for Sale and Sold Prices

David Dodge paints landscapes, primarily en plein air, and is a continual student of nature and traditional landscape art. His love of the outdoors and the landscape began while growing up in the Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire, where the farmland looks to Mount Ascutney. He now lives in the Monadnock region and finds New Hampshire's rugged and varied landscape a constant inspiration. Painting venues also include Arizona, California and Maine coasts, Nantucket, and Scotland.

For Dodge, the urge to paint is somewhat mystical, hard to describe. "When I see something interesting, I feel need to explore and paint. Thoreau said 'each experience reduces itself to a mood in the mind.' If I can get some of that into a painting, it's been a good day."
He is a past President of Monadnock Art/Friends of the Dublin Art Colony, Dublin, NH; and a member of Left Bank Artists Group and Sharon Arts Center, Peterborough, NH; The New Hampshire Art Association; and the Sedona Art Center, Sedona Arizona. He is currently involved with Monadnock Community Hospital with the new Healing Art Gallery.
