          DESCRIPTION: Collection of ten French educational medals. Includes: 1) République Francaise medal designed by F. Vernon on a black and green cloth piece. 3" long. 2) Three Alphée Dubois (1831-1905) Ministere de l'Instruction Publique medals marked "Qui n'acquier point perd" beside a depiction of wisdom holding a book entitled "Cours d'Adulte." With 2 bronze and one silver. Each 2" diameter. 3) Small purple ribbon with circular decoration and with a medal marked "Instruction Primaire Education Nationale." 2-1/4" long. 4) Two purple ribbons each with a wreath designed medal, one in bronze with enamel and the other silver with stones. Each 3-3/8" long. 5) Instruction Primaire Education Nationale bronze medal depicting two children and an instructor. 2" diameter. 6) Ligue Francaise de l'Enseignement rectangular bronze medal depicting the symbol of wisdom pointing to the words "Verité Justice" while holding a book in her hand. 2" x 2-1/2". 7) République Francaise silver medal. 1-1/2" diameter.
