This painting is however consistent with the previous lots 2271, 2272 so we can firmly state that this is the work of Alfred Du Pont. This mural is considered vintage "Wild West" or "Western Frontier Style" art and were considered were idyllic representations of the west. This has led to the expression of the “imagined West.” and creates a nostalgic image of western landscape that many chalk up to children’s games such as cowboys going on adventures and heroic duels in front of town saloons. This mural was painted on linen which was mounted on plywood.
