Roberto Dutesco Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1961 -

Born in Buchaest, Romania, Dutesco began his career as a fashion photographer in the late 20th century after studying at the Dawson Institute of Photography. His work graced the pages of leading magazines such as Elle, Vogue, Allure, Rolling Stone and others. In 1994 during a visit to Sable Island in Canada, Dutesco was captivated by the wild horses that roamed the land, claiming they were similar to the models he worked with. This was the start of a lifelong project through which he would capture the beauty and isolation of the horses. His work culminated in the creation of a full-length documentary ‘Chasing Wild Horses’ on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) which captivated audiences from Europe and Canada to the United States.
