Yuri Dutkevich Sold at Auction Prices

Yuri Dutkevich, a 19th century Ukrainian photographer, was active in Stanislav (now Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine) and Lviv (both cities then part of the Habsburg Empire) in the late 1850s–early 1860s. In 1871, Dutkevich founded one of the first photo ateliers in Kolomyia, Stanislav region. He participated in exhibitions and was awarded medals at the Ethnographic Exhibitions in Kolomyia in 1880 and 1881; at the Industrial Exhibition in1882; and in Krakow in 1887.

Each albumen print, laid on cardboard, measuring 16 by 11 cm (cardboard size). Photographed and printed c. 1870s–1880s. Provenance: Private collection, Europe.
