Large archive of letters to Sir Walter and Lady Egerton, mainly family letters, including from and to their son, Thomas Ralf Sneyd Kynnersley (Tom) and ephemera, including: a manuscript article on "Gardening in the Tropics", 40pp. written while in Lagos, Southern Nigeria (incomplete at end); 2 letters (with one envelope dated 1913) from Princess Marie Louise of Schleswig-Holstein (granddaughter of Queen Victoria) to Lady Egerton; a letter to Lady Egerton from Downing St. March, 1918 asking her for a letter of acceptance of an OBE., and a telegraph about the same; Marriage certificate to Sir Walter Egerton, v.s., c. 1910s - 30s (lge. qty.)

        A Matthew Egerton, Jr. Hepplewhite Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock, New Brunswick, New Jersey, circa 1816 95 x 19-1/2 x 10-1/8 inches (241.3 x 49.5 x 25.7 cm) The case with inlaid elements of the American eagle with nineteen stars, draped urn and six-pointed stars with fluted columns, scrolled crown and three brass eagle-on-orb finials, with side windows to view the key-wound clockworks with calendar dial and windowpane hands, the face of which is hand-painted with both Roman and Arabic numerals, including weights, pendulum and keys with multiple service notations to the inside of the case door dating to September 30, 1820.
