Here and There over the Water:being Cullings in a Trip to the Netherlands, first edition, 28 aquatint plates, including 24 hand-coloured, some offsetting, later red crushed half morocco, gilt, by Zaehnsdorf, a little rubbed at joints and extremities, small stain to upper cover, [Abbey, Travel 188; Bobins 417], 4to, Published by Geo. Hunt, 1825. ⁂ The coloured plates are by George Hunt after Egerton, whilst the plain plates, which show memorials to the fallen on the battlefield of Waterloo, are by W. Bartlett. The frontispiece shows a fantastical channel crossing by means of a jet-pack.

Or Such Things Are, first edition, hand-coloured aquatint title and 22 hand-coloured plates, some light marginal finger-soiling to early plates but a very good, clean copy generally, bookplate to front pastedown, contemporary blue half roan, publisher's printed label to upper cover, joints rubbed, corners a little bumped, preserved in slip-case, [Abbey Life 292; Bobins 1338; Colas 939], 4to, Thomas Mclean, 1825. ⁂ The Joel Spitz copy of Egerton's marriage satire. Provenance: Joel Spitz (bookplate, sold his sale, Christie's, 27th May, 2015, lot 85).
