    Ted Egri (American 1913- ) "Into the Wind", #2/8. Modernist abstract cast bronze wall sculpture. 35 1/2"h x 26"w x 12"d. Paper label attached. Ted Egri served in the Navy 1942-1945. Chief Petty Officer in charge of drafting and map reproduction for U.S.S. Blue Ridge. Although he did not receive any formal academic degrees in the arts, he studied in New York City and Taos, New Mexico, and eventually became a successful sculptor. In the 1950s, and throughout his career, Egri taught sculpture and drawing in New Mexico and various art workshops and universities across the country. Produced many commissioned pieces all over the US. Much of his work has been published.
