-Victor Elschansky discovered photography in the late 1930s.
-In the artistic movement of the post-war period, led by some young Belgian painters and photographers, he discovered a passion for this art. It quickly became an addiction for this man who was in search of artistic and technical discoveries.
-The rise of the photographic movement was much larger and faster than that of painting.
-Within a few years, this art became a kind of calling for him.
-In the 1950s, under the leadership of one man, Father Otto Steinert, the ‘SUBJEKTIF FOTOGRAFIE’ movement was born. From near or far, it influenced the entire world of international photography.
-He discovered, experimented and participated in numerous exhibitions around the world.
-His art was similar to or part of ‘SUBJEKTIF FOTOGRAFIE’ and propelled him around the world through the photo clubs to which he belonged.
-This would lead him to publish a significant number of these works.
-He was asked several times to write articles for these publications, which he did with considerable talent.
-His photographs were published throughout the world leaving a permanent mark.
-His work is included in many private and museum collections.
-He was active with his photographs until the end of 1960, which suggests, for a photography addict like Victor Elschansky, that he must have died around this time.
