Doreen Wise née Blythe, was a dancer who first met Ernie Wise in 1947. The couple were married from January 1953 until Ernie’s death in 1999. John Eric Bartholomew (1926-1984) and Ernest Wiseman (1925-1999) performed in variety, radio, film and most successfully in television. Their friendship began in 1940 when they were each booked separately to appear in Jack Hylton's touring revue, 'Youth Takes A Bow' at the Nottingham Empire Theatre. Eric and Ernie's professional partnership lasted from 1941 until Eric Morecambe’s death in 1984. . the caricature in good condition under glaze, some chips and scuffs to the black wood frame,

        John Musgrave-Wood 1915-1999, (Emmwood), David Gordon mid-late 20th century, Leslie Illingworth 1901-1979, Stanley Franklin 1930-2004 and others- Cartoons depicting Woodrow Wyatt; pen and black ink, six original drawings and three reproduction prints, in two shared frames, three in each and two unframed in a shared presentation box, 42x50cm., max., (3 items). Note: Woodrow Lyle Wyatt, Baron Wyatt of Weeford (4 July 1918-7 December 1997), was a British Labour Party politician, published author, journalist and broadcaster whose opinions significantly changed during the course of his career. He was seen by some as a maverick, and by others as a man of firm convictions which made him temperamentally unsuited to 'toeing the party line'.
