    Friedrich Ernst Wolfrom, Zwei Damenakte wohl Darstellung der spärlich bekleideten mythologischen Göttinnen Flora (Göttin der Blüte) im roten Gewand und der stehenden Göttin Pomona (Göttin der Baumfrüchte) mit einer Orange in der linken Hand vor nächtlicher Landschaft, von Rokokoornamenten gerahmt, pastose Malerei mit starkem Hell-Dunkel-Kontrast, Öl auf Leinwand, rechts unten unscheinbar signiert und datiert "F. E. Wolfrom 1908", rückseitig auf dem Keilrahmen neuzeitliche Annotation"Friedrich Ernst Wolfram [sic.] 1857–1923", Craquelure, hinterlegte bzw. gespachtelte Fehlstellen in der Leinwand, retuschiert, schön im silbernen Stuckrahmen gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 110 x 55 cm. Friedrich Ernst Wolfrom, Zwei Damenakte probably depicting the scantily clad mythological goddesses Flora (goddess of blossoms) in a red robe and the standing goddess Pomona (goddess of tree fruits) with an orange in her left hand in front of a nocturnal landscape, framed by rococo ornaments, impasto painting with strong light-dark contrast, oil on canvas, inconspicuously signed and dated "F. E. Wolfrom 1908", modern annotation "Friedrich Ernst Wolfram [sic.] 1857-1923" on the reverse of the stretcher, craquelure, backed and filled losses to the canvas, retouched, beautifully framed in a silver stucco frame, rebate dimensions approx. 110 x 55 cm. Artist information: dt. T., depending on the source. From 1967 to 1973, Friedrich worked in Tyrol as a carpenter. He was then accepted at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Professor Weiler. In 1976, he received the Füger Prize from the Academy of Vienna. Furthermore, he received, among others, the Förderungspreis of the City of Vienna in 1986 and the Golden Medal of Honor of the Künstlerhaus Wien in 1989. Friedrich has exhibited regularly at home and abroad since 1978. His works have been shown at the Stadler Gallery in Paris, the Künstlerhaus in Vienna and the Didrichsen Art Museum in Helsinki. Ernst Friedrich became known for his graphic works using calligraphic elements. He paints sheet music, city maps, tickets and exercise books and incorporates references PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights.
