Marjorie Feeney Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1928 - d. 2014

Marjorie graduated from Patchogue High School and attended Marymount College and Parson’s School of Design in NYC. Following matriculation from Parson’s, she was an active member of the Art Student League and soon began a distinguished career in fashion illustration and advertising at Bloomingdale’s in New York.

Marjorie was an accomplished watercolor artist. As a member of the prestigious Art League of Long Island, she won several awards in juried shows on Long Island. After establishing a winter residence in Grand Cayman in 1992, Marjorie exhibited extensively in the British West Indies. Her original paintings and commissions are in nearly 300 private collections worldwide.

Marjorie lived on islands all of her life—Long Island, Fire Island and Grand Cayman—which fostered her innate love of painting seascapes, marine life and native flowers. She was in her element in bare feet, a bathing suit and breathing salt air. The only thing that she loved more than the ocean was her husband, mother, brothers, children and grandchildren. We will never forget her infinite love, patience, and smile.
