Time and strike weight driven movement with bell strike; arched painted tin dial with rolling moon and outer ring stamped "Alex. Ferguson, Dundee" together with Arabic lunar month markers; chapter ring of dial with Roman hour markers and outer edge with Arabic minutes in increments of five; seconds dial below "I" and square opening for calendar date window above "VI"; decorative gilt spandrels; pierced iron hands; bonnet has scrolling broken arch pediment with inlaid circular paterae at terminal; central brass ball-and-spire finial; blind-carved trailing floral vines; reeded free standing columns; waist has carved reeded corner columns; dome door with thumbnail molded edge; plain rectangular block base raised on short shaped bracket feet. - 92 in. x 19 in. x 10 in.
