      Bronze with blackish-brown patina Germany, 1984-2006 Gerlinde Fertig (b. 1955) – German sculptor Dimensions: 22.5 x 21.4 x 32 cm Very good condition The solid bronze sculptures by Gerlinde Fertig from the period between 1984 and 2006 are of strong industrial character. The series contains different objects that seem to be built of wooden beams and that are reminiscent of machines with their function remaining unknown. Condition: The bronze sculpture is in very good condition. The total dimensions are 22.5 x 21.4 x 32 cm (height x width x depth). Gerlinde Fertig (b. 1955) After graduating from the Hochschule Pforzheim from the faculty of design, Gerlinde Fertig attended the class of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe, where she was honored with prizes in 1981 and 1983. Fertig received a fellowship by DAAD in 1984, which enabled her to go to London for a year. She was a visiting professor for fine arts at Middlesex University London in 1987. She was a representing professor at the Academy in Karlsruhe in 1988. She was awarded the Barkenhoff fellowship Worpswede in 1989. Fertig is an honoree of the 1. Hanna-Nagel-Prize of the year 1998.
