    Dame prenant son thé. Radierung und Kupferstich nach Jean-Siméon Chardin. 27,4 x 31,2 cm. Bocher 13, IFF 127 II (von III). Die graphisch höchst verfeinerte Bildreproduktion - das Blatt ist recht selten - gibt die ruhige, fast meditative Atmosphäre von Chardins Gemälde kongenial wieder. Das Werk wurde auf dem Salon des Jahres 1739 ausgestellt. Pierre Filloeul, lernte zunächst bei seinem Vater Gilbert F. sowie im Atelier des Jacques-Philippe Lebas. Sein druckgraphisches Oeuvre umfasst etwa 150 Blatt, darunter besonders zahlreiche Arbeiten nach Jean-Baptiste Pater, aber auch nach Christophe Huet und Antoine Watteau, sowie vier Blätter nach Kompositionen von Jean-Siméon Chardin. Ganz ausgezeichneter, klarer Druck mit dem vollen Rand um die tief eingeprägte Plattenkante, vor der Änderung der Adresse.     Pierre Filloeul (1696-1754} French engraver

    Pierre Filloeul (1696; died Paris after 1754) French printmaker. He was the son of the engraver Gilbert Filloeul (1644-1714). He was his father's pupil (and not, as is sometimes claimed, that of Jacques-Philippe Lebas). His oeuvre extends from 1731 to 1754 and numbers c. 150 prints. Original etching, Portrait of Louis Duc D'Orleans, image approx. 7-1/2 x 5-1/2" plus margin. This is an 18th century impression. VG. Mounting trace top edge on verso.
