      The Veranda Artist: Finn, Kathleen Macy 1896 - 1978 Print Type: Soft Ground Etching Signed: Kathleen Macy Finn L/R Dated: Circa 1930 Origin: United States Demensions: 15 x 10 1/2" Notes: Kathleen Macy Finn: A very well recognized American etcher, Kathleen Macy Finn studied at the Art Students League of New York under George Bridgman and the 'dean of American printmakers', Joseph Pennell. She began to exhibit her original etchings in 1923 and during the following years her art was included in many major exhibitions both in the United States and in London and Paris. She was equally adept at landscape, architectural and figure study etchings. Most of her etchings were published in New York in editions of 100 impressions or less. Major American institutions that include examples of Kathleen Macy Finn's original etchings in their collections are the Smithsonian Institute, Washington, Pennsylvania State University, the New York Public Library and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Condition Report: Very Good. Mounting tape top edge.
