Crispin Foy Sold at Auction Prices

I discovered a love and aptitude for sculpture whilst studying Art A-level. In 1987 I left full-time education and started working for an insurance company, with whom I stayed for many years. Whilst there I continued to develop my interest in sculpture to the point when in 1997 I decided to make a career change with a view to making a living as an artist.

I found a part-time job at a small 3-D Design company. Here I learnt the practical skills relating to the production of sculpture; maquettes, armature construction, mould making, casting, patination, mounting and presentation. Whilst with the company I produced a huge variety of sculptures ranging from a life sized hippopotamus to a Bacchus figurine.

Essentially self-taught, I now work out of my Hampshire based studio producing a wide variety of mainly figurative sculpture specialising in human and animal portraiture.
