        Cliff Fragua (Born 1955) "Po'pay" Bronze Sculpture. Po’pay, a Tewa and one of the Pueblo leaders during the Pueblo Revolt against the Spanish in 1680. Cliff Fragua is an artist from Jemez Pueblo. He studied sculpture in Italy, California, and New Mexico alongside Allan Houser. His sculptures are featured in such public locations as the Albuquerque International Airport and in permanent collections throughout the country. He has been included in major invitational exhibitions and one-man shows in leading museums and galleries and has earned highest honors and awards for his sculptures.         Clifford Fragua Buffalo Scuplture Born in 1955, Clifford Fragua is a renowned Jemez Pueblo sculptor and stone carver. This is one of his smaller works and is beautiful contemporary sculpture of a white buffalo. Clifford Fragua holds a remarkable distinction: he is the only Native American sculptor to have a work installed in Statuary Hall of the United States Capitol. His sculpture represents New Mexico and is the 100th and last of these works to be added. The piece commemorates the rich heritage and contributions of the Jemez Pueblo community.

He works primarily in stone--alabaster, marble and statite --but also has bronze editions.
