Gelatin silver print, 14 x 9 3/8 inches (360 x 238 mm) on larger sheet, verso signed, dated, titled and annotated ("Archival Print") in pencil, the mount also with Freed's stamp and pencil signature, and notation "Later Print-Steinmer Print." Some edge and corner wear. This wonderful photograph of children cooling ecstatically in a fire hydrant's stream is among Freed's best-known images.
