    Costumes et Uniformes des Troupes Suisses au service de France de 1480 a 1830, avec les Drapeaux des Regimens permanents de 1672 a 1792; Courgenay. Handwritten volume, bound and richly illustrated. With 79 watercolour drawings depicting Swiss soldiers, a series of plates depicting uniforms (numbered 76-80) and other depicting flags. Followed by a large section of handwritten text in French. Pages with gilt border. Bound in 1899 by C. Meunier per F. Raisin: wooden hard cover with brown leather covering, featuring relieved decorations and a large engravings at the centre depicting a soldier holding a banner with gilt embroideries, at the back cover a large trophy of arms, at the spine gold imprints and the red Swiss cross surrounded by brown lilies; original dust jacket of green Moroccan leather, red at the inside, featuring gold imprints too; paper and wood original case. dating: late 19th Century dimensions: height 25 cm.
