Ayoola Gbolahan is an award-winning painter and sculptor from Nigeria who has exhibited nationally, as well as in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and the United States. He garners continuous inspiration through the study of human anthropology and the exploration of spirituality. Since art is sacred to him, if he cannot see a future piece through visions, he will not paint. Gbolahan’s abstract expressionist and surrealist compositions are created using acrylics, pastels, pencil and charcoal.

Artist's Statement: I’m not inspired much by natural scenery. Engaging humans, that’s my drug. I’ve always said, I can’t paint without human engagement even if it’s just having them in my view. »
