      Junggeselle in seiner Kammer beim Nähen. Öl auf Leinwand. 46 x 63,5 cm. Unten rechts signiert "Fritz Gehrke". Gehrke war Schüler von Gussow in Berlin. Er etablierte sich als Karikaturist und war häufig auf den Akademie-Ausstellungen mit Genre- und Straßenbildern vertreten. Seine Komposition "Der Weltverkehr" schmückte einst das Kaufhaus Wertheim in Berlin. - Verso auf dem Keilrahmen altes Klebeetikett der Berliner Kunst-Ausstellung 1907, Nr. 652.
