Here, they celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Alliance, where France promised potential future backing to America during the war against Britain. One of the two artist's proofs was sold at Christie's, New York, Printed & Manuscript Americana Sale, May 19, 2011, Lot 183. Print accompanied by gilt frame; currently unframed.
