Reiter auf einem Esel, begleitet von einem Geigenspieler und anderen Musikanten Lettische Malerin, studierte an der Lettischen Akademie der Künste in Riga. Seit 1980 internationale Ausstellungen.

It depicts an abstracted composition with a group of figures in profile amidst infatuating color planes. The silhouette of a rider and the outline of a Greek temple can be discerned in the background. As the title ‘Antikais Motivs’ (Latvian: Atique Motif) suggests, the Latvian painter has been inspired by images from Antiquity. The artist’s oeuvre is characterized by an abstract formal language with vibrant color planes complemented by a partly figurative depiction of objects and figures. The painting is in very good condition and is unframed. The impasto areas of white color show minimal drying crackle. It is monogrammed and dated lower left ‘Zg.-91.’ As well as signed, titled, dated and inscribed ‘Zoja Geraskina “Antikais Motivs” 91 A.E. 80 x 90 cm’ on the stretcher. The dimensions are 80 x 90 cm.
