    Grace Gifford Plunkett (1888-1955) watercolour drawing of "Endymion Fitzgerald" Pencil and watercolour. Signed and dated [Oct. 1905]. Inscribed "Endymion / Fitzgerald / Henry / Cashel / Boyle / Tisdall / Farrell" h:10  w:7 in. Provenance: B. I. Tilly, Registrar of The Metropolitan School of Art, Dublin 1905-1920; Thence by descent to the present owner. Other Notes: James Henry Cashel Boyle Fitzsimons (or Fitzmaurice) Tisdall Farrell, nicknamed "Endymion" was born in Dundalk in 1851 but best known as a Dublin eccentric who makes an appearance in James Joyce's Ulysses.

    Grace Gifford Plunkett (1888-1955). "Familiar Faces" hand drawn and coloured booklet. Circa 1907.14pp including cover, hand sewn stitching. Apparently created by Gifford while at the Metropolitan School of Art, Dublin. The booklet, includes 9 ink and watercolour drawings, mainly lampooning teachers at the art school including "The Celtic Child", "Benevolent Barden", "Terrible Tilly", Sunny Sheppard", "Languid Luke", "Remarkable Reeves" and "Jocose Jacobs". A unique example of the precocious talent of Grace Gifford. h:6.50  w:7.50 in. Provenance: B. I. Tilly, Registrar of The Metropolitan School of Art, Dublin 1905-1920; Thence by descent to the present owner. Other Notes: Grace Evelyn Gifford Plunkett (4 March 1888 – 13 December 1955) was an Irish artist who was active in the Republican movement, and who married her fiancée Joseph Plunkett in Kilmainham Gaol only a few hours before he was executed for his part in the 1916 Easter Rising.
