Adriano Valentina Murano "Mare Grande" Sculpture, Adriano dalla Valentina (Italy, b.1945), These beautifully crafted pieces are assemblages of 14 individual glass sculptures. Each fish is created from numerous glass canes which are fused and then blown. After, the pieces are incised with the "battuto" technique, creating a feeling of texture. The sea bottom is suggested with diamond-shaped pieces of calcedonia glass. Each piece is hand signed on the bottom "Adriano Dalla Valentina Murano". Original purchase price was $24,135. no boxes, assembled: 51" x 20" x 21" high
