A Miami and Florida native, Green graduated from the Ringling School of Art in 1942 and later studied at Carnegie Mellon and the University of Southern Florida. Green exhibited regularly in Florida at venues such as the Capital Gallery in Tallahassee, the Museum of Four Arts in Palm Beach, the Lemoyne Art Foundation in Tallahassee, the Tampa Museum of Art, and the Gulf Coast Museum of Art.
