Alfred Hablützel (b. 1931) is a photographer, graphic designer and journalist. He graduated from the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich and studied under Willy Guhl, Hans Bellmann and the Bauhaus docent Johannes Itten. In the 1950s he worked as an interior and graphic designer for Theo Jakob. Hablützel was one the key founders of the group Swiss Design. In the 1960s he was editor and designer of the influential magazine Interieur and founded his own advertising agency Hablützel & Jaquet in the 1970s. Alfred Hablützel's wide-ranging works for leading designers and interior decorators make him one of the central figures in the Swiss furniture scene.
