"Umarmung" - Drahtmontage (Embrace - wire montage). 1951. Vintage ferrotyped gelatin silver print on Agfa-Brovira paper. 39 x 29,3 cm. Signed, titled and dated by the photographer in ink/pencil on the verso. Hajek-Halke often made variants of a particular image when printing and at least two other versions of "Umarmung" are known. - A few retouched spots and traces of light surface scratches, otherwise in very good condition. Hajek-Halke, Heinz: Friedhof der Fische

"Friedhof der Fische" (Fish Graveyard). 1939/52?. Vintage ferrotyped gelatin silver print. 39 x 29,3 cm. Signed, titled and dated 1952 by the photographer in black marker/pencil, 3 different photographer's stamps and Achtung Unikat nach Veröffentlichung an Autor zurück stamp, as well as 2 collector's stamps on the verso. There are several variants of this image entitled "Friedhof der Fische". It is one of Hajek-Halke's so-called tabletop pictures in which he placed objects on a reflecting table and then combined two negatives to acquire the final image. This series is dated 1939 in the definitive Hajek-Halke literature but this print is dated 1952 in Hajek-Halke's hand on the verso. - Tear in upper edge (ca 2 cm), slight edge wear, a few handling creases, slight surface scratches, otherwise in very good condition.
