      American huntboard, Proctor Hall, Camden, South Carolina 19th century, rectangular top over three drawers and arched well on tapered legs. H42" W49" D17 3/8" Other Notes: Huntboard was part of the furnishings of Louise C. Proctor Hall, 2030 Lyttleton St., Camden, SC. Built in 1823 by Thomas Salmon and orginally called the Cedars. The house remained in the family until Mr. Salmon's great granddaughter, Louise C. Proctor, died in 1957. The house was gifted to the ladies of Camden and is now held in trust.
