This charming ink drawing by the German painter Eugen Haller shows a farmhouse in an idyllic, hilly landscape. The brown wash gives the image a nice, naturalistic touch; the drawing is executed very skillfully in dynamic lines. Eugen Haller was a student under the famous German animal painter Heinrich von Zügel. The ink drawing is in very good condition. It is signed and dated lower right “E. Haller 1950”. The overall dimensions are 29 x 23 cm. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance. Underneath a tree, which seems to have just leafed out recently, the spectator looks at a hilly grass landscape, rendered in many, different greens, through which a river winds. The scene has a very calm atmosphere to it and the image almost seems to invite the spectator to imagine, to sit underneath the tree for a while and to enjoy the evening mood. Eugen Haller was a student under the famous German animal painter Heinrich von Zügel. The watercolour is in good condition. It is signed lower right „Eugen Haller“.
