      ALFRED DWIGHT FOSTER HAMLIN CORRESPONDENCE Letters to and from A.D.F. Hamlin, A.M., L.H.D. (1855-1926), well-known architect, Director of the Department of Engineering at Columbia University 1903-1912, son of Missionary Rev. Cyrus Hamlin, President of Robert College in Turkey (Alfred was born there) and Middlebury College in Vermont. Spanning years 1875 to his death, includes his application letter to MIT in 1875, after graduating from Amherst, many family and business letters, he was quite involved in the Armenian Refugee movement. Descended through and consigned by the Hamlin and Verlage families. Cyrus Hamlin and Hannibal Hamlin relations. Full provenance available to buyer.
